Specific Examples of PTSA Purchases

Any staff or teacher at Carrboro High School can turn to the PTSA for project funding when other sources are unavailable. They can use the grant request form here. Their ideas will be voted on by the PTSA membership. Your donations can make more flexible funding available.

Here are specific examples of grants which were approved in the recent past:

• Purchased 8 picnic tables and 16 umbrellas for additional shaded outdoor eating and socializing space for students

• Supported the Sunshine Committee (Teacher-led committee whose goal is to boost morale and community among staff members through celebrating milestones, sharing in sadness, building relationships, and having fun building a family-like bond.)

• Provided books for the school librarian's Battle of the Books program

• Assisted Carrboro Community Leaders Club with materials for their weekly Farmer's Market booth.

• Funded student-led classroom composting project

• Donated to Project Graduation

• Funded the Reflections Art Program prizes

• Provided Senior Class of 2020 a pandemic graduation gift
